Overview

The Geriatrics Department is a core member of the Shanghai Clinical Medical Research Center for Geriatric Diseases and a leading institution of the Geriatrics Medical Specialized Committee of Pudong New District. Our department features a 400-square-meter outpatient area with 33 beds, providing a spacious and senior-friendly environment for both outpatient visits and inpatient care.

Our team is comprised of 15 highly qualified physicians, including 8 with PhD degrees and 7 with senior professional titles, among them 2 professors and PhD tutors. We are proud to include a talent recognized by the Shanghai Pujiang Talent Program and a leading talent in Pudong New District. Our department ranks among the top five in scientific and technological impact in the field of geriatrics.

We specialize in comprehensive geriatric assessments, multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment, and long-term care for the elderly. With extensive clinical experience, we excel in managing common diseases affecting various systems and organs of the elderly, particularly chronic, complex conditions, and critical cases. Our department is dedicated to promoting elderly health, anti-aging measures, and early disease screening.

Our department has established a robust and efficient medical security management system, ensuring high-quality medical services for major events like the APEC Conference, World Expo, Asian-African Summit, and China International Import Expo, as well as visits by foreign dignitaries. Recognized for our excellence, we were awarded the “Outstanding Team” title at the China International Import Expo, underscoring our dedication to exceptional healthcare delivery.

As a demonstration institution for the work of retired cadres in Pudong New District, our department has been awarded the title of “Role Demonstration Collective” by the hospital for consecutive years and recognized multiple times as Pudong’s “March 8th” Red Flag Demonstration Collective.
