Overview
The Plastic Surgery Department is a premier institution affiliated with the Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, the Shanghai Plastic Surgery Society, and the Chinese Association of Plastics and Aesthetics. Additionally, it serves as a mobile postdoctoral station of Tongji University. Our department excels in plastic repair, medical aesthetics, minimally invasive anti-aging procedures, and laser aesthetics, offering specialized diagnostic and treatment services for patients and beauty enthusiasts. Internationally, the department is renowned for its clinical diagnosis, treatment, and research in ear and nose reconstruction, breast reconstruction, hair transplantation, liposuction, fat grafting, and stem cell anti-aging.
Community Engagement
Under the leadership of Professor JIANG Hua, the department actively participates in public welfare activities, conducting charitable consultations and online free clinics to benefit children with congenital deformities in underdeveloped areas. In 2020, it ranked among the top 50 in the national STEM list. In 2021, it achieved 16th place in the national plastic surgery specialty reputation list and was recognized as a clinical characteristic discipline in the Pudong New District.
Services
The outpatient department is located on the 3rd floor of the North Campus Outpatient Building, equipped with general and expert consultation rooms, a rest area, dressing room, observation room, treatment room, plastic surgery operating room, and photography room, providing one-stop services for local anesthesia plastic surgery and minimally invasive procedures. In 2022, general clinics, expert clinics, and special clinics were also established in the South Campus, improving accessibility for local residents.
The inpatient department, situated in the new building of the North Campus, features regular wards and VIP rooms, catering to the aesthetic needs of various clients. The department is equipped with advanced cosmetic and plastic surgery instruments, including intense pulsed light therapy, ultra-pulse laser therapy, red and blue light therapy, Derma Shine PRO, liposuction devices, micro-bubble device, VISIA high-definition skin detection instrument, JD skin microscope, hair transplantation power system, SVF-gel constant temperature centrifuge, Todom skin and hair care device, and ultrasound blood flow detection system, meeting diverse needs of beauty seekers.
Clinical Specialty
Ear Reconstruction
Professor JIANG Hua leads the ear reconstruction team, specializing in complex conditions such as congenital microtia and acquired ear defects. The team is proficient in autologous rib cartilage ear reconstruction and polymer material ear reconstruction, particularly excelling in one-stage autologous rib cartilage ear reconstruction. The department attracts patients globally, performing over a hundred ear reconstruction surgeries annually.
Hair Transplantation
Under the expertise of Professor LI Yufei, the hair transplantation team excels in scarless hair transplantation technology. They specialize in FUE hair transplantation, hairline adjustment, scalp scar treatment, CGF scalp injection, and scalp rolling needle treatment.
Facial Anti-Aging and Rejuvenation
Led by Dr. WANG Hui, an expert in fat and minimally invasive plastic surgery, the facial rejuvenation team focuses on fat stem cell anti-aging research. They provide comprehensive facial rejuvenation treatments, including fine fat filling, SVF fat gel microtransplantation, botulinum toxin injection, facial liposuction, and body sculpting.
Breast Reconstruction
The breast reconstruction team, led by Professor JIANG Hua, is at the forefront of endoscope-assisted dual-plane breast augmentation. They specialize in implant and autologous fat breast augmentation, breast reduction, reconstruction, ptosis correction, removal of foreign injected substances, and various breast plastic surgeries.
Nasal Plastic Surgery and Reconstruction
Directed by QIAN Yuxin, the nasal plastic surgery team excels in comprehensive nasal plastic surgery using rib cartilage. They specialize in complex nasal repairs following unsatisfactory surgeries, secondary deformities post-cleft lip surgery, nasal defect reconstruction, and augmentation rhinoplasty.
