Since its inception in 2001, the Vascular Surgery Department has been at the forefront of advanced diagnostics and minimally invasive treatments for vascular diseases. We are committed to offering specialized care for an extensive range of vascular health issues, ensuring our patients receive the most up-to-date and effective medical interventions.

Expert Team

Under the leadership of Director Liu Jie, our department boasts a robust team of 8 physicians, including 1 chief physician, 3 associate chief physicians, and 4 attending physicians (with 3 PhDs and 4 master’s degrees), ensuring expertise in managing complex vascular cases.

Clinical Specialty

The department specializes in treating various vascular diseases, excluding cardiovascular conditions:

- Arterial Diseases: Atherosclerosis, arterial stenosis/occlusion due to embolism or thrombosis, such as atherosclerotic occlusive disease, diabetic peripheral vascular disease, arterial inflammation, arterial dilatation disorders, and arterial dysfunction, etc.

- Venous Diseases: Varicose veins of lower extremities, primary deep venous valve insufficiency, deep vein thrombosis of lower extremities, sequelae of lower extremity deep vein thrombosis, and thrombophlebitis, etc.

- Vascular Malformations: Arterial malformations, venous malformations, and arteriovenous fistulas, etc.

- Lymphatic Diseases: Lymphatic malformations, lymphangitis, lymphedema, etc.

Interventional Therapy

Our minimally invasive procedures include endovascular aortic repair, various implantation, embolization and sclerotherapy for vascular malformations, ensuring rapid recovery and fewer complications.

Surgical Therapy

We perform a range of surgical interventions such as resection and artificial graft reconstruction for aortic aneurysm, bypass shunts and endarterectomies to address complex vascular conditions.
