Gynecologic Oncology

Overview

The Gynecologic Oncology Department is a standardized training base for obstetrics and gynecology residents under the Ministry of Health, a drug research base for obstetrics and gynecology of the National Medical Products Administration, and a fourth-level laparoscopic training base of the Ministry of Health. Our department is dedicated to diagnosing and treating various gynecologic tumors, preventing and managing precancerous lesions, and overseeing comprehensive postoperative recovery.

Expert Team

Led by Professor CHENG Jingxin, who brings over 30 years of medical experience, our team includes innovative young doctors and masters. We emphasize a multidisciplinary team approach to standardized and personalized diagnosis and treatment of gynecological malignancies.

Services

We place a strong emphasis on the prevention and early diagnosis of cervical cancer, conducting individualized radical surgeries while preserving fertility. For endometrial cancer, we perform laparoscopic staging surgery and guide postoperative adjuvant therapy based on TCGA molecular subtypes. Our team excels in debulking surgery for ovarian cancer, amassing extensive experience in satisfactory tumor cell reduction surgeries. We also focus on challenging and critical cases, actively exploring solutions for late-stage and recurrent gynecological malignancies, including pelvic organ debulking surgeries and precision medicine treatments such as chemotherapy and targeted therapy. This comprehensive treatment system aims to improve patient prognosis and enhance quality of life.

Innovations & Achievements

Our department collaborates with gastrointestinal surgery, urology, oncology, radiotherapy, medical imaging, ultrasound, and pathology departments to form a multidisciplinary team of gynecologic oncology experts. We aim to provide optimal treatment strategies, achieving precise and individualized treatments for gynecologic tumors. Additionally, our specialized nursing, education, public outreach, and post-diagnosis management team ensures holistic patient care.

Research

Leveraging the East Hospital Translational Medicine Research Center platform, we have established a tissue specimen bank for gynecologic malignancies. This provides first-class laboratory conditions for molecular biology research. With the support of a high-level hospital and state-of-the-art equipment, our department strives to offer high-quality services and advanced medical skills to ensure the reproductive health of women.
