Overview
Established in 2014, the Reproductive Medicine Center is located on the 11th floor of the South Campus Reproductive Medicine Center (Gate 5) and the 3rd floor of the Reproductive Center Outpatient Branch in the new North Campus building. Focused on human reproductive health, our center integrates clinical practice, education, and research, with a primary emphasis on assisted reproductive technologies. We strive to provide convenient, professional consultation and treatment for infertility, along with guidance on reproductive health and eugenics.
Expert Team
In the second half of 2017, a distinguished team from the Assisted Reproduction Department of Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital joined our center. This team, comprising clinical experts, laboratory embryologists, and experienced nursing and management personnel, brought with them cutting-edge techniques such as progestin primed ovarian stimulation (PPOS), mild ovarian stimulation, luteal phase ovulation stimulation, and individual sperm freezing.
Services
Under the leadership of Director SUN Lihua, our center has achieved significant advancements through the implementation of original leading technologies, scientific medical processes, and robust electronic data management. These innovations have resulted in notable success rates in infertility treatment. Our center is renowned for its technological specialties characterized by “two fewer and one unusual” - fewer ova and fewer sperm, and treating unusual cases rejected by other centers. These include patients with abnormal ova, premature ovarian failure, abnormal embryos, or challenging endometrial conditions.
We excel in treating patients with low ovarian reserve function, severe oligoasthenoteratozoospermia, repeated embryo transfer failures, immature ovum obstacles, thin endometrium, and polycystic ovary syndrome. Our patient demographic averages around 35.5 years old, with a pregnancy rate of approximately 55%.
Clinical Specialty
Our center offers a wide range of advanced procedures, including in vitro fertilization (IVF), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), artificial insemination by husband (AIH), embryo transfer (ET/FET), and cryopreservation of human gametes and embryos. We also specialize in blastocyst culture/incubation, transvaginal tubal patency testing under ultrasound, ovarian cyst puncture and aspiration, hysteroscopy/endometrial treatment, and multifetal pregnancy reduction surgery. Our expertise extends to comprehensive infertility treatment, ovulation stimulation, and laboratory techniques, all conducted with a strong emphasis on ethical principles and the psychological well-being of patients and their partners.
Commitments
The Reproductive Medicine Center remains committed to putting patients first, providing first-class service supported by technological innovation and individualized infertility treatment. We continue to advance in our field, ensuring the highest standards of care and patient satisfaction.
